The intensives, a different working rhythm

A few days where dance fills the whole day. The school's students work alongside dancers who come from elsewhere, and they leave with something a weekly class does not give.

An international register

The intensives bring together, in Monaco, the school's students and dancers from other countries. That is deliberate. Working beside someone who learned elsewhere, in another language and with other habits, teaches a great deal in a few days.

Classical work remains the spine of the week. Barre in the morning, centre and repertoire afterwards, and individual time for those preparing a competition or an audition.

A guest teacher

Each intensive is built around a guest teacher, sometimes a guest étoile. The students meet a way of working other than the one they know, which often advances them faster than a month of classes.

We do not publish the names of our guests: they come to teach, not to appear on a poster. Enrolled families are told before the intensive begins.

An exchange with Japan

The school also runs an annual exchange programme with Japan, currently in its third edition. Young dancers cross the world to come and work here, and in return our students discover a school that does not run like their own.

This link did not come about by chance. Victoria's mother founded the Tokyo ballet school and taught there for years; the first Japanese ballerina to dance in St Petersburg was one of her students. The exchange simply continues a family story.

It rests on people, then, and not on a contract, and it carries on from one year to the next for as long as the children get something from it.

Summer 2027

Summer intensive

A week of intensive work in Monaco, open to the school's students and to dancers coming from elsewhere.

The summer intensive brings together, in Monaco, students from the school and dancers from other countries. Classical work remains the spine of the week, with repertoire and an opening toward contemporary.

The days are full but manageable: barre in the morning, centre and repertoire afterwards, and individual working time for those preparing a competition or an audition.

Winter 2027

Winter intensive

A shorter format, built around a guest étoile, focused on repertoire.

The winter intensive is shorter than the summer one and is built around a guest étoile. The work centres on repertoire: learning a variation, holding it, then dancing it in front of the others.

It is also a chance for students to meet a way of working other than their usual teacher’s, which often advances them faster than a month of classes.

Before you request a place

The intensives are open to the school's students and to dancers from outside. For a first contact, tell us the dancer's age, how many years they have been working, and what they are looking for in the week.

We answer every request, including to say that an edition will not suit. It is better to know beforehand.
